VA Plant Machinery is a scam website

vaplantmachinery.com is a scam website, and you should avoid sending them any payments whatsoever.

They appear to be primarily recruiting people to post advertisements on platforms like Facebook Marketplace on their behalf. You might respond to an advert for a heavily discounted piece of plant machinery, after which the individual posting the advert will direct you to the scammers.

It is likely that the people posting on these platforms are unaware of their role in the scam. Typically, these individuals post ads for a short duration, only to disappear later (presumably when scam victims start to pursue them regarding the machinery they never received).

If you communicate with the scammers behind vaplantmachinery.com, you will typically receive an official-looking quotation that appears slightly or significantly better than genuine market prices. Should you decide to proceed with the purchase, you will be sent a professional-looking invoice containing payment details.

For example, pieces of new plant machinery are often offered at prices far below the standard market value. These offers may seem like a great deal; however, they should serve as clear indicators of a fraudulent scheme, especially when compared to the usual market prices. Potential buyers who are unfamiliar with machinery pricing and markets might fall prey to these deceptive practices.

The invoices tend to include company and VAT registration details, which we suspect have been illicitly obtained or stolen from legitimate businesses not involved in machinery sales.

We believe this scam is claiming new victims daily.

Additionally, the scammers are circulating promotional emails offering “special seasonal clearance sales” or similar deals to lure victims further.

Please avoid vaplantmachinery.com entirely and refrain from sending them any payments under any circumstances. If you engage with this website, you are highly unlikely to recover your money, even if you believe precautionary measures might protect you.

If you have fallen victim to vaplantmachinery.com: Report this to the police and/or Action Fraud as soon as possible. Unfortunately, crimes cannot be reported on behalf of victims.

If possible, we kindly ask that you forward any copies of invoices or written instructions with bank details issued by these scammers. These documents will be kept on file for submission to the authorities if they request further information.
